Traditional Aran sweater, 100% Wool. Aran sweaters originate from the Aran islands, they depicte different family names or certain areas, so if a fisherman was lost at sea they could be identified by their Aran. Along the centre panel of the body the honeycomb Aran stitch flows, signifying the hard working bee or the hard work of a fisherman, who have been wearing this style for centuries.
This is the most famous and timeless style in Aran Knitting can be worn by both men and women. 100% wool ensures total warmth.
Sweaters are made using pure new wool yarn. Heavy and chunky - as it should be!

For woven garments only: Using a soft garment brush, brush garments lengthwise after wearing to remove surface soil that might become stains later on. Dust and dirt can dull the appearance of wool fabrics.
To remove unpleasant odours, lay garments flat on a bed or towel for an hour. Woven garments may be hung in fresh air on a suitable hanger.
Wool garments can be refreshed after unpacking or wearing by hanging them in a steamy bathroom. Moisture from the steam will remove wrinkles.
If wool gets wet, dry the garment at room temperature away from direct sunlight or heat.
Always use steam when pressing wool. Set your iron on the wool setting and avoid ironing the fabric when it is totally dry.

When I first took this sweater out of the package, I was worried that the sizing wasn't quite right. I ordered a size S and it seemed a bit too short on my torso. However, natural wool stretches very easily and I have been tugging gently on the bottom of the sweater as I wear it around town. It is very warm (my primary motivation for purchasing!) and on my first day wearing it "out" I received enthusiastic compliments at my local coffee shop. In wearing this sweater you will really stand out from the group due to the high quality of craftsmanship and the beautiful dye.
